Privacy

Track Studio is built so that your recordings never leave your computer. This page explains the little data that is handled, by whom and why. The controller is João Carreiro, Portugal, reachable at trackstudio@gallivanter.biz.
The app
- Your videos and telemetry are read and processed only on your computer. They are never uploaded.
- Licence checks. When you activate or check a licence, the app sends the licence key and an identifier for the computer to the licensing service, to confirm the key is valid and count activations.
- Updates. The app checks GitHub for new versions and downloads them from there. GitHub sees your IP address, as with any download.
- The app has no analytics, advertising or tracking.
Buying a licence
Payments are handled by Creem as merchant of record. Creem collects your name, email, billing country and payment details to process the order, prevent fraud and meet tax rules, under its own privacy policy. I receive your name, email, country and order details, and use them only to deliver your licence, provide support and keep the records the law requires.
This website
This page is hosted on GitHub Pages, which keeps standard server logs. It sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics. Fonts come from Google Fonts, and the checkout button loads a script from Creem.
If you write to me, I keep the conversation to answer you and handle support. I never send marketing email without your consent.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to how it is used. Write to trackstudio@gallivanter.biz. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD) or the one in your country.
