Looking for the coloured cups together

English translation of the Portuguese source. A separate working scene from the Rexi adaptation. The archive preserves changes in voice, props and continuity between versions.

Hearing that he was tired, one of his parents smiles warmly and says, "How about I come with you? Then we can look for the coloured cups together, and it will be quicker." He looks up, his eyes brightening a little at the suggestion. The thought of having a parent with him turns the task into a small shared adventure, something much nicer than going alone.

Getting up from his chair with renewed energy, he takes his father's outstretched hand, and together they walk towards the bedroom. His father's comforting presence makes the tiredness feel less heavy, and the short walk to the bedroom becomes a moment of closeness between them.

When they reach the bedroom and find the coloured cups, they finish the task with a shared sense of satisfaction. Walking back down the stairs to the kitchen, he feels refreshed, not only by the short break but also by the care and support that turned a simple task into a special moment between father and son.
