The castle and Chama the dragon

English translation of the Portuguese source. A separate working scene from the Rexi adaptation. The archive preserves changes in voice, props and continuity between versions.

With the castle now standing, grand and welcoming, Rexi thinks not of battles or defences, but of friendship and peaceful adventures. Beside him are no swords or shields, but a priceless companion: his cuddly dragon, named Chama. Chama is more than a toy; he is the castle's guardian, the faithful friend with whom Rexi shares every secret and dream.

Together, Rexi and Chama explore every room in the castle, from the tall towers to the most hidden secret passages. They imagine themselves on voyages of discovery, searching for treasures hidden deep within the castle, rescuing magical creatures in trouble, and flying through imaginary skies on epic adventures.

On one of these adventures, they decide to look for the legendary Rainbow Crystal, hidden somewhere in the castle's vast rooms. Every corner they explore, with the magical slippers lighting the way, becomes another stage of the quest, with clues and riddles left by long-forgotten sages of the kingdom.

As day begins to give way to night, Rexi and Chama finally find the Crystal, hidden beneath a pile of cushions in the tallest tower. Holding the crystal, they wish for an everlasting friendship, a bond that even the bravest knight could never break.

With Chama beside him, Rexi realises that the true treasure is not the castle, or even the Rainbow Crystal, but the friendship and adventures they share. And so, within the walls of his castle of cushions and sheets, Rexi lives out his own fairy tale, where courage and friendship reign, lit by the magical glow of his slippers.
